Dare to Look Up
Sometimes the aurora is so strong that it fills the sky in every direction including straight up. It is incredible to watch!
When this happens you cannot see everything at once so I recommend looking up to experience the most unique and impressive formation, the corona, where brilliant pillars seem to converge at the zenith.
When I am out watching and photographing the aurora, I always take the time to look up even if it means taking my eyes away from a different part of the sky and the dancing lights. You just may be surprised … and mesmerized.
So why not grab a chair and a blanket and settle in for the view!
