Meet Carmen …

artist, adventurer, educator and lover of the night sky.

The beauty of nature, the tranquility of water, and the silence of night are a balm to my soul. Natural settings evoke a sense of peace in my heart allowing for important mental escapes. It is in nature that I experience my most mindful moments and deepest connections to myself.

During the global pandemic, being in nature with my camera truly became my solace. I began to spend more time outside at night experiencing the magic and awe of the cosmos above. I discovered how the stars and the vastness of the night sky could provide inspiration and perspective for my daily life.

For me, the art of photography is an astonishing way of interacting with life. It nudges me to discover more about the world and myself. It invites me to see more, linger longer, and to be truly awake to the wonders that often remain hidden to those who look at the world with less curiosity.

Photography helps me to savour life intensely and fills me with gratitude for this beautiful earth we call home. I hope my work brings you peace and joy, and inspires you to seek deeper connections with nature and yourself.

I can’t thank you enough
for following my journey here.
